People Mover & Van

The Kia Concept PV5 is Kia's first PBV, set for launch in 2025. It's been developed as a mid-size model, providing enough scalability to meet a variety of business needs like transport for passengers but also cargo. 

Customers can choose between three body types: Basic (Passenger), Van (Delivery), and Chassis Cab. Kia also plans to develop a PV5-R model making the most of its expertise in autonomous driving technology.

Development Concept

The Kia Concept PV5 Van is optimised for the transport of cargo and for use by a wide range of industries such as delivery, construction and retail. With its low stepping height and raised roofline, it boasts enough interior space for an adult to stand upright within its rear compartment.

Special Features

You can find the van that suits your company's payload, space and operating requirements among three different-size variants - Standard, Long, and High Roof. Through work with conversion partners, each vehicle can be adapted to your exact specification (racked, refrigerated, etc.). The low stepping height, inherited from our PBV's electric platform,  contributes to excellent accessibility and efficiency.

Development Concept

Our Motional joint venture with Aptiv is actively readying the ground for game-changing autonomous driving technology. The result - our PV5-R, closely related to our Kia Concept PV5 - will become available towards the end of the decade.

Main Domain

The Kia Concept PV5-R will leverage Motional's level 4 autonomous driving technology to bring about a paradigm shift in global mobility. It will unlock new possibilities for the ride-hailing industry to operate unmanned taxis and shuttle services.

With enough space to stand up while working, you can freely configure the store you want. Thanks to Vehicle-to-Load, your Kia also acts as a mobile power bank for electrical devices on site, whether it is lighting, a refrigerated cabinet or digital displays.
